Web Development for Faculty 8/15/2007, 9:30 AM ~ 12:00 PM 23 Illini Hall Designing and building your own web sites allows you to control how students access your course material and makes it easy to share material with instructors (while also saving valuable time and making new assignments possible). This workshop will cover everything faculty need to know to get started building their own web sites to aid in their teaching. Topics to be covered include: an introduction to how Web servers and HTML work, the basics of web design and development, usability and accessibility, creating and editing pages in Dreamweaver, and publishing web sites in Netfiles or Illinois Compass.
