Brown Bag: Improving Student Learning in Large Introductory Physics Courses 11/4/2009, 12:00 PM ~ 1:00 PM 23 Illini Hall Tim Stelzer will discuss the use of prelectures, short (<20-min) narrated Flash® animations designed to introduce students to fundamental concepts before they attend class. Students enjoy watching prelectures, are better able to participate in classroom lectures, and find they get more out of them. Tim will screen a typical prelecture and discuss clinical studies, eyetracking studies, and student outcome data from an introductory E&M course.
