Robert Baird (UIUC)--Coordinator of Instructional Development for CITES EdTech and Assistant Professor for the Unit for Cinema Studies--has taught with and supported faculty using educational technologies since the late 1980s. Robert has extensive experience in film and multimedia production, Microsoft PowerPoint, and the use of online discussion tools.

Alan Bilansky is a trainer with CITES-Educational Technologies. He earned a PhD from Penn State, where he taught English and Speech courses, as well as working as an academic advisor and Web developer. He currently also teaches communication courses for the University of Phoenix Online.

Dan Cabrera serves as the Multimedia Coordinator for the Faculty Development and Instructional Design Center (FDIDC) at Northern Illinois University (NIU). He consults with faculty in integrating new multimedia technologies into the classroom. He collaborated with several staff members at FDIDC to develop an interactive online education module for the Office of Research Integrity, U.S. Public Health Service.

JP Dunn, WebCT Administrator, Instructional Support Services at Southern Illinois University Carbondale. He holds a Master of Science Degree in Education with a specialization in Computer Based Education (Instructional Technology.) For the past nine and one half years JP has provided technical and administrative computer and Internet support, as well as customized programming for university faculty and staff.

Heidi Greer, Instructional Designer, has been providing instructional support to faculty at Southern Illinois University Carbondale for 9 ½ years. As an SIU alumnus, she holds a BA in Radio/TV and a MS in Education. Heidi consults faculty to identify instructional needs and strategies to improve teaching and learning from traditional instruction to the online environment.

Rick Langlois, Computer Instruction Specialist, is primarily responsible for providing consulting to faculty users of the Illinois Compass (WebCT VISTA) Course Management System. Additionally Rick’s long background in multimedia production makes him a resource for faculty wishing to enhance their curriculum or research with audio visual components.

Doug Mills worked for more than ten years in the field of Computer-Assisted Language Learning before joining CITES EdTech at UIUC where he supports the use of Illinois Compass through consulting, training and troubleshooting. Special interest areas include interactive multimedia and the use of SCORM objects.

Anthony A. Piña is Coordinator of Learning Technologies at Northeastern Illinois University. He has delivered over 150 technology workshops and over 60 conference presentations. Anthony has served as a consultant to Fortune 500 corporations, educational institutions, government agencies and the U.S. Department of Defense.

Jason Rhode is the Online Technologies Coordinator for the Faculty Development and Instructional Design Center at Northern Illinois University. As an online course designer and instructor he is responsible for developing and offering training programs and consultations on web-course management systems and assisting faculty with online teaching needs.

Erin is a workshop leader on the ATLAS software training team. She developed the Powerpoint curriculum and materials, and provides Powerpoint workshops for LAS faculty and staff. Erin has a PhD in Spanish from UIUC.

Roger Runquist teaches in the Engineering Technology Department at Western Illinois University. He also serves as both the Faculty Development Technology Associate and the WebCT administrator at Western. Roger teaches course in Adobe Photoshop, QuarkXpress, Macromedia Dreamweaver and Flash.

Carol Scheidenhelm is the Assistant Director of Faculty Development and Instructional Design Center at Northern Illinois University and holds a PhD in English. She works with faculty who wish to integrate technology into their online and traditional classes and periodically teaches online and face-to-face courses for the Department of English.

Jeff has been teaching online courses for several years at EIU, and is the "go to" guy for technical support in his department. He enjoys learning new technology that can be used to enhance teaching and learning.

Jennifer is Manager of the Faculty Technology Center at SIUE. She serves as one of the campus WebCT administrators and coordinates faculty development in technology. She is currently the project co-manager for the implementation of Blackboard's Learning and Content Systems. She is also involved in the University's IT Strategic Planning Process.

Al Weiss	awweiss@uiuc.edu

After graduating from Hamilton College, Al Weiss taught in elementary and junior high schools in Hawaii and Japan. Upon returning to the "mainland," he received a Master's degree in history from the University of Illinois and now works as a specialist in Educational Computing on the Urbana-Champaign campus. Al lives with his wife and daughter in Urbana.

Kostas Yfantis works for CITES Educational Technologies at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. His main duties include mentoring faculty and staff in the development of online instructional material and administering Mallard, a sophisticated course management system.
